Sessions can take place outdoors in a beautiful Bergen County location if you’re dreaming of a scenic family photoshoot, in the comfort of your home, or in my Northern New Jersey studio.

From booking to delivery, I’ll guide you through everything so you know exactly what to expect. We’ll chat ahead of time about location, wardrobe, and style so your session feels natural and personal to your family. On the day of your session, everything will be ready so you can focus on enjoying time with your loved ones.

After your session, you’ll receive your full edited gallery within 1-2 weeks, along with heirloom artwork options I can help you design for your home.

Your Session

Your family session is designed to be relaxed and enjoyable. Beforehand, I’ll send you a prep guide that answers common questions and walks you through everything so you feel completely prepared. On the day of your session, everything will be ready — whether we’re outdoors, in your home, or in my studio — so you can simply enjoy time with your loved ones. I’ll gently guide you with prompts and posing that feel natural, while also leaving space for candid moments to unfold, capturing all the laughter, connection, and little in-between moments along the way.

Family sessions are best booked 2-3 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date, especially during busy seasons like spring and fall. Start by filling out my contact form with your ideal timeframe and whether you’d like a studio, outdoor, or in-home session. I’ll be in touch within 24 hours, and once you’re ready to book, a signed contract and retainer will reserve your spot. Your session will be planned around the season, lighting, and location that best fits your family.

Within three weeks of your session, you’ll receive your full gallery of hand-edited images, ready to download, share, and enjoy. If you’d like help selecting artwork or prints to display in your home, I’ll guide you through options to create something truly meaningful for your family.

Heirloom Artwork

Your beautiful images deserve more than just a screen. I offer a curated selection of heirloom-quality artwork — from fine art prints and albums (a client favorite) to custom wall pieces — so you can enjoy your memories in your home every day. I’ll personally help with sizing, design, and layout to ensure everything feels perfect, and you’re welcome to send me a photo of your space so I can suggest what will look best.

If you prefer an indoor setting, or if the weather turns chilly during the winter months  your family session can take place in my cozy Waldwick, New Jersey studio. My studio is a welcoming space designed with families in mind. It’s the perfect setting for relaxed, stress-free portraits where the focus is on connection, laughter, and love. Everything is prepared before you arrive — from backdrops to lighting — so you can simply enjoy your time together while I capture the moments that matter most.

During your session, I’ll gently guide you into natural poses and playful prompts that bring out genuine smiles and authentic interactions. Parents can relax knowing that wiggles, snack breaks, and silly moments are all welcome (and often lead to the best photos).

To make things even easier, you’ll have access to my curated client closet of flattering dresses for moms, plus the option to add professional hair and makeup at a special rate. Every detail is designed so you can relax, feel confident, and leave with images that reflect your family just as you are.

What should we wear for our family session?

Family Session FAQs

The right outfits help your pictures feel timeless without distracting from your family's connection. I recommend soft, neutral tones and simple, comfortable outfits that coordinate without matching exactly. You’ll also have access to my client closet for moms, and I’ll help guide you on outfits for the rest of the family.

How long does a family session last?

Most sessions last about 60 minutes — long enough to capture plenty of variety, but short enough to keep little ones engaged and happy.

Where can we do our session — studio, outdoor, or at home?

You can choose whichever setting feels best for your family — I offer studio, outdoor, and in-home sessions. Each has its own vibe, and I’m happy to help you decide which one fits the look and feel you’re going for.

Can we include grandparents, pets, or extended family?

Pets are welcome! Family sessions are designed for immediate family (up to 6 people). If you’d like to include grandparents, extended family members, or have more than 6 people, I can absolutely accommodate that for an additional fee — just let me know when booking so we can plan accordingly.

When will we receive our photos?

You’ll receive your full gallery of hand-edited images within 3 weeks of your session, ready to download, share, and enjoy.

What if my kids don’t cooperate?

Don’t worry — I expect wiggles, giggles, and snack breaks! Sessions are child-led, and I use playful prompts and games to keep kids engaged and capture their natural personalities.

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes! I offer mini sessions three times a year in the Spring, Fall, and for the Holidays. They are 15-20 minute sessions on a specific date at a specific location designed to offer a quick and easy way to get family photos!
